Hunter Field Target is a precision air-rifle sport: scoped, sub-12 ft·lb rifles, knock-down steel targets from eight to forty-five metres, two shots per lane, scored to the millimetre. GHFTA sanctions the Gauteng provincial league and its nine member clubs under SAHFTA rules of fire.

§01 · The Association
A sanctioning body built on
precision, safety & scored discipline.
Founded in 2026 and affiliated to SAHFTA, the Gauteng Hunter Field Target Association administers eight sanctioned league rounds and a Provincial Championship each season. Courses run up to forty knock-down targets per round — all scored to SAHFTA rules of fire and published within forty-eight hours.

Chronograph & class
Every rifle chrono-checked. HFT capped at 12 ft·lb, Springer and Junior brackets also run.
§ 02
Knock-down scoring
Steel kill-zones from 15 mm to 45 mm. Two shots per lane. Binary: down or up, 1 point each.
§ 03
Published scorecards
Lane-by-lane splits and class standings online within forty-eight hours of the final peg.
